Let me guess:

You are asking yourself….What should I expect from therapy?

  • A Safe and Supportive Space – Therapy is a place where you can share your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

  • Getting to Know You – In the first few sessions, your therapist will ask questions to understand your concerns, history, and goals.

  • Setting Goals – You and your therapist will work together to decide what you want to achieve in therapy.

  • Talking About Feelings & Experiences – You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with at your own pace.

  • Learning New Skills – Therapy can help you develop coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and ways to manage emotions.

  • Exploring Thoughts & Behaviors – Your therapist may help you recognize patterns in your thinking or actions that affect your well-being.

  • Trying Different Approaches – Depending on your needs, therapy may include talking, activities, mindfulness, EMDR, or other techniques.

  • Processing Challenges – You might talk about difficult experiences, but your therapist will guide you in a safe and supportive way.

  • Feeling Different Over Time – Therapy is a process, and change takes time. Some sessions may feel helpful right away, while others might feel challenging.

  • Confidentiality & Trust – Most things you share stay private, except in situations where safety is a concern.

  • Open Communication – It’s okay to share what is or isn’t working for you in therapy so adjustments can be made.

How I work

At the core of my therapy is person-centered approach….

Person-centered therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach that focuses on the individual's ability to grow and heal in a supportive environment. It emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness from the therapist, creating a safe space where clients feel heard and valued. Rather than giving direct advice, the therapist helps clients explore their own feelings, experiences, and solutions, trusting that they have the inner resources to make meaningful changes. This approach fosters self-awareness, personal growth, and a stronger sense of self-acceptance.

truth & courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.

in therapy with me…

We’ll dig deep.

"Digging Deep" in therapy means exploring the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that lie beneath the surface. It involves looking beyond immediate challenges to uncover underlying patterns, past wounds, or deeply held beliefs that may be shaping current struggles. While this process can feel uncomfortable or even difficult at times, it is also where meaningful healing happens. With the support of a therapist, digging deep allows for greater self-awareness, emotional processing, and lasting change, helping clients move forward with clarity and resilience.

You’re in charge.

In therapy, you’re in charge of your journey. You decide what to talk about, what goals to set, and how deep you want to go. Your therapist is there to support and guide you, but you have the power to set the pace and make choices that feel right for you. If something isn’t working or feels uncomfortable, you can speak up and adjust the process. Therapy is your space, and your voice matters—because your healing, growth, and well-being are what matter most.

I’ll cheer you on.

In therapy, I will cheer you on every step of the way. Whether you're facing big challenges or celebrating small wins, I will be here to support, encourage, and remind you of your strength. Growth takes time, and even when it feels tough, you are making progress. I believe in you, and I will hold space for both your struggles and your successes—because every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.
